Top 5 things Bill Strobeck hates about skateboarding:
1. I hate carrying a skateboard around when I’m not filming. They’re hard to stash and it automatically becomes a nuisance. It don’t look cool like it did in the 90’s, sorry. I also hate carrying it around in the airport. I kinda feel like I’m too old to walk around with one
2. I hate that if you skateboard, no matter what, you get characterized as a skateboarder. It’s all part of the big picture for me. Something I do, but like if I was never to work in skating anymore and was shooting photos and making films, I’m still “William Strobeck the skate filmer.” Stoops!
3. I hate half the companies out there. It’s over saturated. Every ones trying to get a piece. Get the hell outta here with Bike Skateboards. Fuck a trade show, too. Mad kooks there
4. I hate how cheap skateboarding is. It’s like do a job for Chanel for 20 minutes and get paid 20 times more. Skate companies are notorious for being cheap. Gotta be good at business. I’d say if your just starting out, get into another profession
5. I hate people that hate on skateboarding. Sorry you don’t speak our language
